Joba To The 15 Day DL

As you have probably heard by now, Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain has been placed on the 15 Day DL with rotator cuff tendinitis. What does this mean for the Yankees for the rest of the season? It means they need people to step up. When Phil Hughes comes back, they need him to pitch like the top pitching prospect he was made out to be. When Ian Kennedy pitches against the Angels, while he doesn't need to be dominant, he needs to prove he belongs in the majors against the big boys.

Will Joba be out for the year? Answers by various people seem to vary. Some think he will, some think he won't. There have been rumors circulating that if Joba does come back, it will be in the bullpen as the eighth inning guy that he excelled so well in.
